A Skill is a focused investigative workflow that answers one defined research question, such as Public Profile Discovery or News and Adverse-Media Timeline. Each Skill states what it examines, what you receive and what it cannot establish, and returns cited findings into the case. Skills replace the individual lookup tools of earlier versions of Nexus; direct lookups remain available when a single record is all you need.

Once chain of custody is enabled on a case, every investigative action is written to an append-only audit trail secured with SHA-256 hash chains, in line with ISO/IEC 27037 digital-evidence handling practice. Court-ready PDF reports carry a SHA-256 integrity hash and can include the custody record. Whether evidence is admitted is for the court to decide.
No. Nexus supports investigation and assessment; it does not declare identity, ownership or wrongdoing. A matching username, photo or phone number is a possible match that needs corroboration, and an unsuccessful search does not establish that information is absent. Nexus keeps supported findings, possible matches, contradictions and information gaps apart, and the investigator decides what the evidence supports.
Nexus is built and operated by Next Sight d.o.o. in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Investigation data is hosted in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest, and isolated per account; on the Agency plan, investigation notes are end-to-end encrypted.
